MembershipThe Real Estate Society of SDSU RES is open to students of all majors and all class levels who share a common interest in real estate. Whether you aim to become a real estate broker, a real estate investment banker, a real estate developer, an accountant in a real estate office or to simply own a home one day, RES has a program to help. The Real Estate Society holds twelve regular meetings each academic year, totaling six meetings per semester. Meetings are presented by various real estate professionals who aim to give insight into their profession and advice about succeeding in the real estate industry. Aside from regular meetings, The Real Estate Society will have at least one case study or field trip per semester. We will visit actual development projects in San Diego and analyze plans, strategies and actual project sites from conception to completion. Students learn about real estate in class and through books, but we hope to supplement that material with real life real estate experience. RES offers valuable programs and case studies, but it also provides great networking opportunities. As a member, you have an opportunity to interact with professionals from various fields of real estate and are encouraged to join professional networks and begin building contacts. You are also exposed to other students with similar interests. In addition to regular meetings, several social events are offered. The Real Estate Society teaches members about different areas of real estate, but the ultimate goal is to help place members into jobs, internships, and careers in the San Diego real estate market. RES will help you create a great resume, examine your interviewing skills, and then inform active members of opportunities in the area. Membership Requirements: 1.
