Training/Education

The Real Estate Society provides unparalleled access to out-of-the-classroom real estate and real estate related educational opportunities to San Diego State University students. Members are exposed to and educated about the various career opportunities and fields in the real estate industry by attending highly focused and informative meetings and off-campus case studies specifically designed to enhance the “real world” educational experience of SDSU students. Each meeting is designed to educate the member on a specific field or niche within real estate or a real estate related profession whereby a top industry professional speaks about their career, triumphs and hardships, lessons learned, available job opportunities, and the lucrative income potential associated with their respective professions. Meetings focus on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, real estate development, residential and commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, real estate finance and investment banking, property management, leasing, residential and commercial appraisal, construction and engineering, and land planning. The off-campus case studies are typically hosted at a recent real estate development or real estate related project in San Diego where members are given an in depth tour and explanation of the project followed by a catered social gathering and networking event with top industry professionals and real estate students from USD, Point Loma Nazarene, and UCSD.
